City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College
Welcoming staff, students and visitors with a refurbished reception and brand new college facilities
The City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College in Staffordshire has secured over £3 million in funding over the last several years to refresh its existing sixth form environment and expand the college with new facilities.
The aim of the work was to increase the college’s student capacity and provide a wider range of T Level courses with high quality facilities.
The brief
Leaders at the Staffordshire college aimed to create a more efficient college environment with a fit-for-purpose reception area, flexible sixth form furniture, and a greater number of learning environments throughout.
They also needed an interior planning, design and fit-out partner for their two new college buildings fit with science labs and T Level facilities to cater to a wider range of students across Stoke-on-Trent.
Our approach
Beginning with creating a more fit-for-purpose reception area, we worked with staff at the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College to create a bespoke reception desk for a more welcoming and efficient space.
We sourced sixth form furniture from across our suppliers to create a greater number of learning zones throughout the building, which could be easily adapted for a number of purposes.
We presented multiple plans and 3D designs for the new college buildings, co-ordinating subcontractors to complete the installation on time and within budget.
