Supporting Scarborough Sixth Form College to welcome more students than ever
Scarborough Sixth Form College in North Yorkshire had recently diversified its course offering, attracting more students to the college to study the likes of Criminology, Esports and Graphic Communication.
Scarborough College’s facilities needed an upgrade to comfortably support the sixth form’s growing cohort of students and provide enough space for socialising and studying.
The brief
Senior leaders at Scarborough Sixth Form College wanted to make better use of an outdoor space called The Quad, which was rarely visited by students, particularly in the colder months. They were looking to transform the space into an all-weather area full of sixth form furniture that students could use to socialise and study in.
Our approach
Our team worked closely with Scarborough Sixth Form College staff to understand their vision for The Quad and help bring it to life with detailed 3D rendering. We sourced sixth form college furniture from our range of manufacturers and installed everything in line with contractor timelines and the college’s own deadlines.
The result
The result is a new Scarborough College facility that can be enjoyed by students all year round.
Bringing outside inside
The Quad is decorated with artificial greenery to maintain the atmosphere of a natural outdoor space in a more practical way.

The impact
The Quad is a key part of student life at Scarborough Sixth Form, offering a haven for both relaxation and study.
